Early Life and Career
A graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Nagesh began his professional journey by joining the Indian Air Force as a Short Service Commission Officer in 1988. His years in the Air Force instilled in him core values of discipline, time management, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. These formative experiences not only honed his leadership skills but also prepared him for the challenges of entrepreneurship and community service.

Entrepreneurial Journey
Driven by a passion for security and safety, Nagesh founded UNIQ Security Solutions, a company that has since become a leader in the security services sector across South India. Under his guidance, UNIQ Security Solutions grew rapidly, employing over 10,000 personnel and serving more than 500 clients, spanning industries from hospitality and corporate sectors to large-scale industries and government institutions.

With a keen understanding of the need for rural youth empowerment, Nagesh established the Uniq Skill Development Academy in Channapatna. This cutting-edge training institute is dedicated to equipping young individuals with vocational skills that open doors to employment in the Indian Uniformed Services and corporate sectors. His commitment to education and job creation has positively influenced the socioeconomic fabric of rural communities in Karnataka and beyond.

Leadership in Rotary International
A dedicated Rotarian, Nagesh’s tenure as District Governor of Rotary International District 3190 (2015-16) was marked by record-breaking achievements. Under his leadership, the district experienced unprecedented membership growth, with a focus on engaging women and youth in Rotary's mission of service. His contributions led District 3190 to be globally recognized as the highest-performing district during his governorship.

Nagesh’s deep involvement with Rotary International extended beyond his term as District Governor. He has held several prestigious positions, including Assistant Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator and membership in the National Executive Committee for the Rotary India Water Mission, among others. His efforts in promoting water conservation, sanitation, and other Rotary initiatives continue to make a lasting difference across India.

Awards and Recognitions
Nagesh’s relentless pursuit of excellence and service has earned him numerous accolades. His distinguished service in Civil Defence was recognized with the prestigious President of India Gold Medal. He has also been honored with Rotary International's highest service recognition, the Service Above Self Award. Other notable awards include the Entrepreneur of the Year Award by the Central Association of Private Security Industry and the Bharatha Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya Global Leadership Award. These honors are a testament to his impact across multiple sectors and his unyielding dedication to public service.

Personal Life
Flt. Lt. K.P. Nagesh is supported by his wife, Mrs. Uma Nagesh, a Computer Science engineering graduate who actively contributes to his business and social ventures. The couple is blessed with two children: their son, Tejas N. Gowda, a Bachelor of Engineering graduate, and their daughter, Nidhi Nagesh, who is currently pursuing a career in Chartered Accountancy. Together, the family is a testament to values of hard work, education, and service to others.
